How we work

Fit security into
how your team builds software.

Work with a hands-on specialist in your engineering environment. Start with the product and outcome, implement the agreed changes, and keep evidence and ownership connected.

From first conversation to reviewed work

A delivery process
you can follow.

The same principles apply to one assessment, an implementation project and continuing fractional work.

01

Understand the product and the need

Discuss the application, stack, data, team, current practices and deadline. Identify a useful starting responsibility rather than assuming you need every service.

Useful output: A shared view of the problem and proposed scope.

02

Agree scope, access and responsibilities

Document included systems, capacity, work, deliverables, fees and verification. Agree who can test, change, review, approve, release and accept risk.

Useful output: A proposal, authorization and practical delivery plan.

03

Assess and prioritize

Review the approved context, test important assumptions and validate findings. Separate confirmed risks, suspected issues and missing coverage.

Useful output: Prioritized actions with evidence, owners and acceptance criteria.

04

Engineer and implement

Configure tools, integrate workflows, implement controls and work on agreed code or configuration changes alongside your engineers.

Useful output: Reviewable designs, working integrations and proposed changes.

05

Verify, hand over and improve

Test the relevant behavior and release context. Explain remaining limits, document how controls are operated and decide the next work for an ongoing engagement.

Useful output: Verification evidence, operating guidance and clear next actions.

Working together

Name who does what.

Security work crosses team boundaries. The engagement makes the handoffs and approval paths explicit.

WEFT

Specialist execution and coordination

Perform the agreed assessments and implementation, explain risk, keep work traceable, verify results and communicate blockers.

Your team

Context, access and decisions

Provide product knowledge and approved access. Name reviewers, release owners and the people authorized to accept business risk.

Other specialists

Coordinated collaboration

Work alongside platform engineers, existing security teams, auditors, vCISOs and specialist assessors with an agreed scope and communication path.

Use the environment that fits

Tools support the work.
The work determines the tools.

Start with your existing source control, CI/CD, cloud, findings and ticketing stack. Agree whether checks run locally, in your environment or in an approved external service. Compare open-source and commercial tools against the actual coverage and operating needs.

The scope includes maintenance and failed-check handling when WEFT is responsible for recurring operation. A tool installation or recurring report alone does not define an operated AppSec process.

Tool implementation and integration

Expertise without a full-time hire

Let an AppSec specialist take the work forward.

Tell us about your product, what needs attention and any deadline. We’ll agree a useful starting scope and the right level of support.
